We loved working with Lisa and have worked with her on a few projects. Lisa and her team helped us with a major renovation of an older home and once the project was complete it, it was even better than we expected or could have imagined! Lisa has great ideas, style and she is truly talented at what she does! She also has amazing contacts for various vendors, from custom furniture pieces to drapery that helps to complete the space and look. Lisa’s work creates an environment that makes you just want to stay at home and be in your space. We then worked with her again for our next home and loved all of her ideas for that new home. Lisa was also able to incorporate furniture we already had and the final project was perfect! Our home became stylish and more modern but was still cozy and welcoming. Absolutely recommend! My husband and I decided to undertake a major renovation on our home. We had been in the home nearly twenty years and although it was a new build when we bought it, little had been done since then. Looking at the major expenditure that this would entail we felt it would be well worth the cost to engage a designer. A single day looking at flooring and all of the available options taught us that! It was exhausting and daunting and we had barely begun. There were so many possible options and directions to go in without really knowing how it would all pull together. Enter Lisa Kooistra Design :) I met initially with Lisa who I liked enormously and connected with on the spot. I hesitated to engage a designer because I was intimidated at the thought but Lisa is no diva lol. She was extrememly down to earth and very open to whatever level I wanted to engage her company at. There was never a time when I felt that my initial project was too small. Going forward I also worked very closely with one of her project managers Jelena Shields. It would be impossible for me to put in one review what an inspiration and support they were to me throughout this project. I told them more than once, and I believe fully, that they are both design geniuses! There is no universe in which I could have independently come up with the ideas and the design that they provided. We received so much more than advice on materials, fabrics, colours etc. We received an absolutely beautiful, brilliant, one of a kind design that brought a wow factor to our home that we could never have anticipated. They were a godsend throughout the project with advice and direction on design and installation. It was a very VIP experience from beginning to end for what I consider to be a very reasonable cost. I actually don’t think of it as a cost but as an investment because there is such cohesion and harmony to all the elements of the design, throughout all of the rooms, and all I had to do was to say “yes”; “is there another option”; and a whole lot of “I absolutely love that!”. If you are fortunate enough and wise enough to engage LK Designs, you will see exactly what I mean. One final thought as well. Lisa embodies the highest level of professionalism, class and integrity in all her business dealings; and Jelena was the absoute best partner I could have hoped for. She is extremely responsive, a joy to work with and a calm through every storm. Renovation is by its very nature a stressful and disruptive time but I would do it all again with these ladies! :)
